Vaja cases?

Hi all

I ordered a Vaja Involution case for my iPhone 3G, and of course, now am chomping at the bit to get it. It said 45 days from the time it is ordered, but I wondered if anyone has ordered from them and received it already, or ordered one with the original iPhone, and if so, if it took the full 45 days.

Thanks!

The 3G iPhone has a slightly different shape. I hear the backplate is rounded instead of flat... that there is a tapering of the upper and lower ends like this () instead of ||.

When I got my 3G on day 3, the only cases left was a griffin elan snap-in for the original iphone, and while an original iphone fits in there face-in or face-out, if you jam a 3G in there face-out it wedges so tightly you have to either break the case or use padded tools to extract it.

So yeah, being handcrafted without fabric-style patterns, I suppose they had to trash all their old-shaped blocks and acquire all new, then work out the old designs upon the new shape. Resulting in a limited catalogue for a while.

Just know what you're getting. They look great at first....

And if you ever have problems, they won't lift a finger to help you.

My apologies to those who already have ordered (though a return may be worth a shot). I hope you have better luck than I did. Personally, I would never give them my business.

I had the Vaja case on my origin iPhone and ordered the new 3G one about a month ago.. but my original case has been working fine on the new 3G iphone in the mean time.. while I wait for my new one. It's a snug fit but the flap closes and it works great at protecting the phone.

Best case in the market.. everyone who sees mine ends up getting it... except for girls for some reason... girls don't like flipping the front down.. they like the screen exposed, and one of them got a shattered screen as a result 🙂

All cases add noticeable bulk to the iPhone. The smallest are the form fitting rubber cases without all the whistles and bells (e.g. incase) but even those, while more subtle, still increase the feel of the phone in your hand. If you don't mind the size increase, the Vaja case is excellent but if you do then it's better to go with one of the aforementioned.

With the first iPhone you HAD to have a case because it was so darned slippery. Size being an issue for me as well, i used one of the incase slim cases. With the iPhone 3g, however i haven't yet felt the need for a case as it doesn't slip out of the hand the way the old one did.

Don't listen to that guy.. the Vaja case is the nicest case I have EVER had for the iPhone and I've had them all. I ordered my second one for my 3G after having the earlier one for the original iPhone. I carry my iPhone in my front pocket and don't notice any added bulk. If you want to protect your iPhone, it's the best.. if you want a scratched iphone or shattered glass, then go with a cheaper, thinner case.

But trust me.. you will be VERY happy with the case... it smells nice (nice leather), if feels nice (phone doesn't slip out of your hand) and it truly protects the phone. And I am NOT one of those guys who puts a cheesy leather case on a blackberry for example.. but for some reason, after holding this case a year ago, I was so impressed I ordered it immediately and here I am a year later ordering it again for my new iPhone.

I agree. I also had the Ivolution for the original iphone. I was so pleased with it that i feel like i have been a spokesperson for vaja on these forums. I ordered the ivolution in two colors. They do take a while to be delivered but they are well worth the wait. The only reason i had other cases than vaja is because the ivolution wasn't available when the 3G first came out. I read a review on their silver model for the original phone. I wish it was out for the 3G, even though the case is almost 300 bucks its insanely nice.

My only complaint with the original case was that it made it more difficult to hear conversations because you couldnt put your ear as close to the speaker. Since the 3G has an immense improvement in sound i don't expect this to be a problem with the new one. Also, because the design doesn't get too close to the speaker, i expect to hear better than the original.
