Just READ there is ***********2.0.2****** NEW UPDATE. Hope it fixes GPS

I have had the same problem with every update (maybe a windows issue?).
I solved by connecting my iphone to a different computer with itunes. Then got the message that there is an error and I have to restore with new update-which I do. Then the phone says it is for emergency use only-but if I take it and plug into the original computer it now comes back. It works-but what a pain.
Luckily I have been working with ms products for years so it was not a shock.

how do you take the dbm view off the top corner, other than tapping it. how do u get it to go away and not pop up when you restart your phone.

Is there an "official" list of fixes that this update is supposed to address?

First attempt to update FAILED! Got the -1 iPod can not be updated error.
iPhone was stuck on Apple logo and spinning wheel. Was able to get into recovery mode, and am trying a restore and update.

I sure hope Apples fix for some users did not kill my phone!

Well just updated! Contacts seems to load a little faster and GPS locating more quickly. It still need to turn on location services though for it to work. With 2.0 it didn't, is anyone esle having this problem?

Not sure they list bug fixes.

OK - after .0.2 for me GPS locks my position in my house like it did with .0.0 and didn't with .0.1. Good news so far.

All - I wouldn't worry about the number of bars u get only how the phone performs. Give it some testing.

is it so that the ringsignal hardware adjustment is now apart from the setting inside the menu, or is this a bug after the 2.0.2. update? If I put my phone on full ringsignal through the buttons on the side of the phone and then look inside the ringsignal menu - its on a lower setting. Right?

I assume that if you want to put the bars back, you do the same thing, right?

Either do a restore, or wait until the next firmware update, I imagine.

I am not sure if I understand your question, but if you go into settings then sound and phone and watch the bar while you push the hardware volume buttons up or down the bar tracks the buttons. I have 2.0.2 installed

Word of advice usb hubs are bad when updating the firmware!

I have noticed no improvements since the upgrade. My phone was working great before hand though. I would say my contacts load slower now then before the update. Yes I have done a hard reset.

How can you remove the option to toggle between bars and dbm?

Type:
3001#12345# in 'call' mode again.

Then instead of holding down the 'home' button, just press it once.

You're good to go.

+1 for not affecting much other than how it constantly goes back and forth between networks.

Doesn't affect my 3G signal at all.
