unknown error occurred (0xE800002E).

After downloading updates to applications and syncing to iphone I got error message: Some of the applications in your iTunes library were not installed on the iPhone "(my name) iPhone because one or more errors occurred.
Example of error:
"The application "(the updated app)" was not installed on the iPhone "(my name) iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE800002E)."

The applications however were still on the phone after the update and I was able to run them. I did a restore of the iPhone from the latest backup and the error message still came up. The more updates I receive the more error messages I got. I'm up to 19 app errors.
However, after deleting one of the 19 applications that were listed from my iTunes library and then syn icing to Phone again after erasing it I did not get the error. I now how 18 errors.

I called up apple tech support that they could not resolve the issue.

Anyone have a solution?

Good news - I was having the "can't upgrade any apps; exception 0xE800002E" problem consistently - like 100% of the time - and I just upgraded to iTunes 8.0.2 and iPhone 2.2, and - ALL BETTER! Well, to be fair, my only data point is the one application that I had heretofore refused to upgrade with the uninstall-reinstall trick; it upgraded perfectly after restarting my new v2.2 iPhone. So i think it might be one of the things they fixed (of course, it wasn't mentioned that i saw in the "reasons to upgrade" stuff they sent out).
Also worthy of note - this is also the first time my iPhone has completed a software upgrade without having to erase and restore, and i've had iPhone since the original came out in June 2007, and went to 3G within a week of when it came out.
Hope I'm right, for all our sakes.
