I was able to exchange my adapter today at the Apple Retail Store

I went to the NYC retail store friday to exchange the adapter. I have 2- one from phone purchase, second as a stand-alone purchase. They would only exchange one. Told me to go on-line and a "process" was created for people with more than one adapter- can you believe? There is no "process". So let me get this straight: they provide a dangerous/faulty adapter, tell us to exchange them, then not let us to it with all of them we own (and purchased for $29!!)? Again, shame shame on Apple. What will be the next thing to go wrong in the iPhone saga: spontaneous combustion? At least then we'll (presumably) not have to exchange or down-load for "fixes"!!

I think that Apple has forgotten to think about people who bought a second adapter as an accessory. Unless it has changed since last week, the web site only lets you return one per iPhone serial number (my post earlier talks about this). If you have more than one, it tells you to call or go to the store.

I tried calling, you tried going to the store. In both cases, there was an effort to get us to go to the web. Argh!

I stuck with it on the phone, and after 30 minutes they had escalated things so that a manager could take care of it. I got my 2 replacements via FexEx today.

I received a replacement within 3 days of signing up. For Apple to be that prompt, they must think that this is a potentially serious problem.

I went to the Apple Store. They exchanged both the one that came with the iPhone and the one I purchased.

I have the same question. Did you ever get the right answer?

I have tried laboriously to break off those prongs on my adapter and it is as solidly built as any other electronic component I've come across, so I find no need to replace it. Anyone else experience this?

yea mines intact too, i tried bending it, and no it still stays on. I'm still waiting to receive my new ones, fortunately I haven't received them yet. I honestly don't care because the one that came with the iphone before the recall works perfectly fine.
