MacBook won't boot up -- Loud Beep Noise

I just started encountering this problem today. My MacBook worked just fine yesterday, and then when I went to turn it on today, it refuses to boot up. I get the startup sound, and then after that just a loud noise that goes "BEEP, BEEP, BEEP......BEEP, BEEP, BEEP..." on and on. Does anyone know what could be causing this, and how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

MacBook (Black), Mac OS X (10.5.4)

Did you recently install new memory in your MB?

You might try booting up with the install dvd #1 that came with your MB while holding down the D key and run the hardware test.
