Serran Wrap a good idea?

I just got a 4gb nano today and it scratches like crazy. I ordered a case and it will take about 3 weeks to get it. In the meantime I am using cerran wrap (sticky wrap) to cover my ipod nano from scratching
... is this a good idea or not?

what is Displex? I have some scratches and I'm debating whether to return my nano or not. If I can remove the scratches myself I won't bother ....

Its a product designed for removing scratches from cell phone and pda lcds - it works very very good for doing the same on the ipod
