Inquisitor plug-in for Safari - Google bug

Hi.

I've been using Inquisitor for Safari for a while now. Recently, out of the blue as far as I can tell, Safari stopped loading pages after running for a little while (the loading bar would fill a little and then nothing would happen, as if my internet connection was faulty - only it's not, since another browser worked just fine at the same time).

I tried the Empty Cache/Reset Safari, but it didn't help. Also, repairing disk permissions and trashing preferences did nothing.

I discovered that using Google as the search engine in Inquisitor is the cuase of the problem. I then switched to Yahoo and all seems well again.

Did anybody else experience this? Did you find a solution to it, other than switching to Yahoo? (I'd like to keep using Google)

You can uninstall Inquisitor if you no longer wish to use it.
. Safari
. Navigate to your hard drive device
. Select the Library folder
. Select InputManager folder
. Delete the Inquisitor folder

Before uninstalling Inquisitor you should delete its search history:

You can clear your history of searches in the Inquisitor preferences in your browser.
. Safari
. Open up the Preferences in Safari
. Choose the Search tab. Click on Clear History.

Your link is to a thread dated around the time Google were having enormous outages and problems, for which they apologised later.

Did you try to connect to Google DK (or anywhere) without Inquisitor?

Some sites have problems with some browsers, mostly due to a failure to program the pages with the accepted standards, as discussed here:

http://www.bcool.dk/internet-explorer-firefox-safari.php

which I found when searching Google Denmark for 'google virker ikke med safari', which produced no results relating to Google and Safari 3.1.2, even when I re-worded the question 'virker safari med google'.

And I had no problems searching in Google DK from here! (I have Inquisitor 58 installed)

Did you install the Java update? Security Update 2008-007?

When did you last repair permissions and/or repair your hard disk from the install disk?
