Remote does not work correctly after update

Hello,
the subject explain it already:
After upgrading to 2.3 the apple remote does not work correctly anymore:
I need to push the buttons twice, and than atv is only reacting sometimes.
Any ideas?

so if we move the apple tv further away from our samsung LCD's would this help do u think?

I solved the problem putting the ATV above and behind the Samsung LCD.
I have a bookshelf above the TV and I put the AppleTV there. This has fixed completely the issue.

thank you everbody for the answers.
I tried, what was reommended here:
- disconnecting from power
- move Apple TV to another place
I have the feeling it improved:
But definitily it is not working as it should.
In many cases I have to push the buttoms very
often, before ther is any reaction.

If you're going to release hardware without any hardware buttons, you need to test to make sure the remote WORKS!

Same problem from an AppleTV I just purchased. I'm amazed how long the problem has persisted - according to when the first post was made. I can't seem to get the paper or tape trick to work. Wish there was some way to revert the firmware to make sure it's not a defective unit I've lucked out with.

I was given a new unit today and it too has the issue. Paper over the IR does not work, nor does holding the remote closer or right on the unit's IR. It has not been updated. Multiple remotes have the same issue, including 2 Apple remotes and a Harmony 1100. Very disappointing. I do have a Samsung LCD. The first unit worked perfectly with the upgrade to 2.3 for a few weeks then suddenly stopped responding to remote commands.

updating Apple TV to version 2.3.1 is solving the problem.
