Error writing to file

Error writing to file C:Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.Resources\de.lproj\MusicStorebar.nib\objects.xib Verify that you have access to that directory

This error popped up when iTunes was starting. 2 hrs earlier it was working fine. It brings up a retry button which doesn't seem to do anything. I uninstalled QT and iTunes and reinstalled it and the same error occurs.

I have tried both from a downloaded file and from the Update application. The exact error message is this:

http://www.warnercom.net/images/capture.jpg

And if I go to that folder, I find ituneshelper is there but not with a proper icon and I can't delete or rename it. This has really got me stumped - I install itunes numerous times a day for customers and this is the first time I've had any problems installing it. I have even checked the error logs but there sin't any reference there.
