ARDAgent - allow incoming connections alert won't stop

I'm having the same problem with 4D Webstar Mail Server Admin Client, but I got used to clicking Allow every time a launch the Admin Client. ARD is not asking anything when launched. Will look into this more carefully.

I am having the same problem with ARDagent and the firewall. However this has only occurred since updating to 10.5.6

I am also now having this problem which started during either the 10.5.5 or 10.5.6 update.

The non-admin accounts on my machine(s) are also being prompted. This new bug is pretty annoying. :-/

This started here in 10.5.5 if I remember correctly. Cannot tell about 10.5.6, because the combo update never completes.
Not sure if Firewall is actually doing anything since I didn't try to port scan my own machine, so I'll give Apple the benefit of the doubt, that Leopard 10.5.5 Firewall is working. Anyway, to get rid of the nagging Allow/Deny question, I switched from "Set access for specific services...", to "Allow only essential services".
Both Skype, and 4D Webstar Admin Client, started without asking any permission to get incoming traffic, and they seem to be working fine.
Are Skype, and Admin Client essential services? For me they are. For everyone? Not so sure.

For now I will consider "Allow only essential services" as "Allow essential services, and some more".
"Allow only essential services" will be read as "Lets through in a third option, and nag too. We will fix it in Snow Leopard".

I have this issue as well.

A hint on another forum told me to check the validity of ARDAgent.app by running the following.

codesign -vvv /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app

it returned "code or signature modified"

So I deleted it & re-installed from receipt. It asked once for the allow & then seemed to work great, until somehow it broke again.

I don't understand what is modifying it but my suspicion is Apple fixed a flaw of some sort & forgot to update the code signing. in 10.5.6

It sounds like you are running "Little Snitch". I'm not aware of a system service in Mac OS X that does this.

no, it has nothing to do with little snitch. it's a standard leopard security dialogue.

i might have found a solution.

inside /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/_CodeSignat ure
i noticed an older CodeResources file than the CodeResources file one level above. so i moved the _CodeSignature folder to trash, restarted Remote Desktop and no more security warning message. see if that works for you.

Seems to have worked fine for me (was particularly annoying for non-admin user). No more warning (admin or non-admin), ARD works.
