I just got the Windows 7 beta and I'm wondering how I go about installing it in boot camp. Could someone tell me step by step and (if possible) provide pictures or screenshots? I'm really new and I've never used boot camp before.

I would like to know which bit version is everyone having success with. I have tried the Windows 7 64bit but every time I use Boot Camp Assistant, it comes up with a screen that look something like this.
1.
2.
Please select boot drive.
It is just a black screen that has this message on it. I am not sure that is what is says but it is very similar. Also, the keyboard will not respond to anything. I would really like to have some help here please.
Ok, thanks. I downloaded the 32bit and it solved that problem. Now I have run into another. I click the "Install Now" button and it comes up with a screen that says a driver needs to be installed. Here is exactly what it says.
A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now.
The interesting thing about this is that I have made two copies of the 32bit and the first one did not do this. It went all the way to the actually installation screen, but I had to throw that one away because of scratches.
I burned a new copy and the problem is not reoccurring. I do have one other question though. How long does it take to Expand Windows Files? It seems to take forever.
I've got one of the new MacBook Pro and I suffer the same issue with the audio drivers. Well, not only with the audio, but the keyboard, isight and so on. I used the BootCamp 2.1 utility (i went through the 229 error issue) and afterwards, almost nothing worked but the tray icon itself.
I could install the Nvidia driver for the 9400M, but I've tried many different ways(troubleshoot install, admin...) and drivers from Realtek for the sound, and I cannot get it work.
I don't care much about the rest, just the graphic card and sound cos I just want the Windows 7 to play a few games.
My config is:
OS X 10.5.7
Bootcamp 2.1
MacBook Pro Unibody 13'3" (the newest one)
Windows 7 RC 32bit
I have install Lepord 10.5, Window XP and Window 7 to my Macbook 13" white. Everything is working perfectly, but I am having trouble opening the apple built in isight(webcam) from Window 7. The look at the device manager; the driver is installed properly and says working fine. I can't find the insight icon in Mycomputer icon. Any idea where it would be...?
I have been running Vista off of bootcamp for a few years now. I want to upgrade to win 7 but during the process I get the following message:
"Upgrading Windows will affect the following devices and/or programs: These programs might not work proerly after the upgrade. We recomend uninstalling these programs, before upgrading." Boot camp is listed.
Do you know if I am safe upgrading? I'm afraid that Boot Camp won't work after the upgrade and then i'll loose all of my files.
Just go ahead, there have always been compatibility issues, even with Vista, on my Mac Pro, at least there is a warning, Microsoft does collect crash reports and use them. Blame it on lack of real support for all versions of Windows on Macs.
And you have Boot Camp 3.0 installed on Vista?
As for upgrades, there are a couple issues, which is why it is best to do a custom clean install. Backup your files with Easy Transfer, format from the DVD and install. You'll have to reinstall but all your data and prefs will be restored - IF you make sure to grab all the hidden folders and make sure Easy Transfer (Customize + Advanced options) are copied to another drive.
same here. Unable to adjust the Cinema Display Brightness in Windows 7/BootCamp. Argh. Does this work under Snow Leopard?? Staying on 10.5.8 for now because of Adobe CS issues in SL.
