iMovie '09 Green Screen?

It would be nice if we could have a third or fourth track tho.

iMovie removes the complete color green in a wide range "this is why your having trouble". There is no spill suppressor.

Does your camera have white balance controls "where you can adjust the white balance". Try putting a piece of white paper in front of it at first and make sure that its pure white on the LCD or whatever adjust as needed. Now your green might look a little different after you adjust it thats ok. The Color tends to look different once you see the big picture on you Computer anyway.

My green sometimes looks a little blue on the LCD or so but keys great. Especially when i use 24P

I sometimes have a bit of trouble of it bleeding through with me wearing white. Well I have it subtract the last frame because i make sure to step out before stopping the recording "plus it is a one man show" that tends to help a bit and I do some color correcting and it turns out usually really good. And I'm using pieces of green paper tapped to a wall. LOL

It seems impossible to apply fade to the chromakeyed track. Did you also experience this. It seems like yes judging the sudden appearance at beginning although title masks it a bit.

Your movie look great. I will have to keep playing with mine.. I am just using a point and shoot camera but it does okay video.. i will play with the white settings like the earlier post said

I can't see these YouTube clips at work, but I too have had alot of problems sync'ing up the background and foreground clips so they begin simultaneously. Using a fade to 'wash over' the begin of the clip doesn't seem to work either. Anyone found a solution?

Excuse me, pasta, but how long did it take to upload that video? I have been trying for days with a 800Meg HD file and it never gets close to completing.

Ah that happened to me the other day. If you selected at one point "use last frame as reference" and unselected it again it wont reverse the change. I am saying that if you did and in the last frame it was not complete green "say your standing there" it will also subtract you.

Kinda hard to explain. Maybe someone else can.

I am not at the mac with imovie 09 right now so i can't remember.

I did use that function, but it doesn't make a difference.

Is the last frame completely green. Or is something in it.

totally green. I even used the RGB for chroma green when I created the background.

Huh how weird. Well my next step would be to make a new project and drag the same clips in it then if it proceeds reimport the clip. Or do another recording and try again. If it keeps happening than maybe something is wrong with imovie. In which case i would call apple.
