Up until yesterday my iPhone (Canada carrier = FIDO) was working perfectly. Now every time I try to sync it iTunes crashes. I have not changed anything - same computer same settins. The last app I updated was Air Sharing. A restore using the back-up option did not work and neither did a full restore without a back-up. I have completely reset and entered in all of my settings for networks, email etc. It is still not working.
This solution is NOT working for me. Every time I try to sync my iPhone to my MBP within just a minute of the phone being connected iTunes will not respond
I was on with two apple support people who were at a loss to explain why the iphone was crashing itunes. I spent 2 days and blew away my playlists. I almost formatted the system. To think the fix was as easy as authorizing and deauthorizing. This problem didn't start until after i started upgrading my 9,700 songs to itunes+. (I am only upgrading a few at a time. I think the problems must have something to do with the itunes+ upgrade. I hope Apple is listening. I did email the support person back with the solution and told him to check out this thread. Thanks again to the person who found out how to solve the problem.
Not fixed for me -- tried both the "delete one app and re-download" (deleted from both device and host), and the de-auth and re-auth (with phone not connected). Problem still exists, and my dump sent to apple looks similar to that posted above.
Is there a thread for this problem that is not fixed by this solution?
Has anyone noticed if iTunes is crashing when syncing a particular app or song etc?
I tried all the fix solutions suggested and nothing worked but I did notice that the crash occurred when syncing the 'Texas Hold 'Em' app. I deleted the app from my iPhone and am now happily syncing away thank God!
I'm having the same problem. My Ipod touch is on manual sync, and I can sync most of my songs just fine. However, all of my videos and a few of my songs crash Itunes right away!
