Last evening I attempted the right click on the album and was given only one option to treansfer the album. "on the go- 1" was the only playlist or file that was an option. I want to transfer the albums in into file or playlists such as RB, gospel, oldies, romance, classics, etc.
Oh, let's start at the top. The iTunes media library is divided into five sections (or sources), Music, Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts & Audiobooks. You can't create more sections and you can't put video in an audio section or vice versa.
You can create your own playlists (File... New Playlist) which can hold mixed media and playlist folders (File... New Playlist Folder) to organise your playlists. The playlists are gathered together at the end of the library listing in the left-hand column.
When looking at the main iTunes window you can select one or more individual items (selecting ranges with SHIFT or toggling items with CTRL), then press down the left-mouse key on part of the selection, drag the pointer to the left hand side and drop onto the name of a
regular playlist. All the selected items will be added to the end of that playlist. If multiple items are selected the cursor should include a red circle with the number of items. The files also remain in the source that they come from. If you were expecting them to disappear (as if moved) then that's probably where you are getting confused. As well as working with tracks you can drag the artwork from within the browser, grid or coverflow views in the same way.
