Dragging or moving albums into playlist files

Is it possible to move an entire album into a file or must it be done song by song?

It doesn't seem possible to drag an entire album to place it into a particular playlist. When I attempt that, I see the shadow of the album along with a red number indicating, I think, the number of tracts but I also see a crossed circle. When I attempt to deposit the album into the playlist it just doesn't happen so I figure the circle with the x in it overrules everything else.

Am I doing something wrong or is there really a way to drag or otherwise transfer an entire album into a playlist?

You're almost there... you can only drop the bunch of track onto regular playlists, these show up as blue rectangles with a black note on them. When you hover over one of these the black-barred circle switches to an arrow, let go of the mouse button and the tracks will be added to the playlist.
