iTunes Library cannot be saved (Error -54)

Hey guys,

Recently started getting the following error "The iTunes Library file cannot be saved. An unknown error occured (-54)."

I've searched the forums and Google, but can't seem to find a solution which fixes the error and which does not delete my ratings and playcounts.

Any help appreciated!

This solved my very same issue with Yosemite 10.10.2 & iTunes 12.1.0.50.

I had the same problem on a MacBook Air 2015 running the 10.12.4. Repairing my SSD via Command-R diskutilities solved the issue for me.
