iphone bmw bluetooth incompatability

My 2g iphone worked flawlessly with my 2008 bmw 328i with iDrive and bluetooth. It's difficult to understand why my 3g won't work, and that no fix is yet in place. Most disconcerting, as I'm a physician who must take calls on the road a lot. Does anyone know if the renown Apple geniuses will soon issue a remedy? Thanks,

My 3G connected to my 2008 M3, although it took several tries to get it to hook up.

Try "0000" for bluetooth code, since it is the default code in most devices.

Linwood, if you check the forums on bluetooth, you'll see it IS actually a global incompatibility.

I just talked to my BMW dealer.. he told me "Your iphone wont work with your car if its the newest OS software version"

This is a croc becasue my wifes and frineds linked right up.

yeah I tried every single combo possible 😟

I just synced my wifes 3G to my car with no problems at all....

I'm gonna call BMW main office tomorrow and raise ****!!

Since your wife's 3G works fine, I would suggest restoring your iPhone though iTunes and trying again.

Same issue. When the contacts were syncing the connection would be dropped.
