Can't play youtube videos all of a sudden

Yeah you're so right where is the "genius" support that apple pledges when you buy it's overpriced products,

NO WAY I'M RESTORING MY IPOD JUST TO SOLVE A PROBLEM, it's getting like the old winblows, when everything solved restarting or reinstalling.

To the people of Apple: I want a answer that solves this problem, make an update fix or DO SOMETHING, get to work!!!

BTW, why is the so overated Itouch hasn't have a shake forward funtion like the Nanopod?? Is really annoying to unlock the ipod when you can simply shake it.

Ive got a 1st generation 32mb touch approx 1 year old, it plays all utube videos fine, ive just check before i post this reply,,,,,,, BUT ! Ive just bought 2nd generation 8mb touch only 2 weeks ago, until yesterday (8th) it played all tube videos fine, now it seems to have the same problem as everyone else on this forum.

I've noticed something, when you use the Youtube Icon to try and play a video, it will briefly flash the status bar in the background and then comes back to the youtube player and gives the failure message.

I've found the Wierd Al Yankovic videos fail every time, including 'whatever you like' when playing from the icon, yet Safari works ok.

Guys tried restoring iPod to factory settings... Sync Music....
Reset the iPod... Connect to internet... Access YouTube....
Let me know if this works....

I have tried resetting my iPod, makes no difference, still doesn't work.

The big question that is on my mind right now echos the sentiments of many other people here, which is where are the Apple people? I just want one comment from Apple. These messages make me feel like we're all sitting in the middle of the desert yelling and only hearing an echo. They clearly are not monitoring anything we're saying.

I had similar weird issue where i could not get my IPOD 2nd gen, play youtube videos (it used to say, "this movie format is not supported")and lot many sites in safari also couldnt be reached. It wasnt a case of an invalid movie format though..and neither it was due to wi-fi connection.

First Check out if your IPOD touch plays youtube in any other wi-fi (Open), if yes then maybe this could help you.
I changed my ADSL Router settings, Change your connectuon type from "PPPoe Over ATM" TO " PPPoe over Ethernet". This would require admin password of your router to change the settings and get to the http screen of the router admin.
Mine started working smooth like a cake!!...

yes i need you guys help my ipod will play youtube videos but only for about 15 seconds everything else works except online videos such as youtube and movie trailors ect. i have tried restoring the i-touch but that doent wor either an apple rep. told me to refresh it but i dont want to lose everything on i tunes how do you refresh?

main questions-how do you refresh and what do i do when my i pod touch will only play 45 sec of youtube and online videos???

I am having this problem with a movie I downloaded from Limewire. I just bought a 2nd generation touch and when synching the movie to my iPod it says the movie cannot be played on this ipod. My first generation didn't have a problem moving movies to and from. Any ideas what's going on?

I have the same problem but what really makes me feel upset with apple is that I haven't received or found any official apple response to this problem! I can not play youtube video on you tube or safari at my house although it works on other wireless but I know the problem is on the router as other ipods can play were I can't. PLEASE HELP

I don't know about everyone else, but my problem appears to have gotten a lot better with the 3.0 update. FYI.
