Anyone else having trouble connecting to iTunes Store? For the last hour (2 pm EDT - 3 pm EDT) I've been attempting to connect to the iTunes Store and iTunes keeps telling me, "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store, Make sure your network connection is active and try again."
Obviously my network connection is okay (I posted this).
I've been having the same problem since 430 am and I am on the west coast. i bought a movie and it wont download i've never had any problem with itunes till today. I also could not get songs from my itunes plus. I get a message saying location changed i've got that before but the song downloads any way.
I am having the same issues with the store, everytime I try to log on or purchase a song it tells me that my network connection timed out and to check the connection and try again.
Exact same issue here as in the opening post. I can give you more info though.
2 PCs(XP) a Mac(OSX) and a Linux Distro all having the same issue.
2 separate accounts (mine and my wife's) with the same symptoms.
Verified all firewalls are tuned off.
one XP machine upgraded to 8.1 (or whatever the newest version is)
Same symptoms as the opening post. We can brows the store but are unable to make any purchases (ding ding Apple!)We get the same error reported in the OP. Neither of us can get into our iTunes accounts either.
Same problem, same message, cannot download songs. Itunes does not let me log in. I can access the itunes store had the problem noted, signed out of Itunes store and could not get back in. Similar issue with mobileme not letting me check my account status, so I assume it is a problem with Apple's servers. My internet connection is obviously working! I will try the usual tricks, permission fixes, cache cleaning, restart and see what happens. System was working last night without problems. My mobileme email works fine.
I am currently having the same problem. I'm Central Standard Time and have been unable to purchase from the iTunes store for a couple of hours. I'm getting the same 'network connection' message, but as with the other user, my network connection is fine. I've tried closing and restarting iTunes, but with no help. This is the first time I've ever had this problem.
Seeing the same problem. Mac with iTunes 8.1. I logged out of my account, and can't log back in, same message about not being able to connect to the iTunes Store.
I am also having a similar problem, I just updated to the new iTunes and now when i try to download anything from the iTunes it comes up with some kind of network error.
Here is what happens:
1. Accessing iTunes store
2. Error message 'We could not complete your iTunes store request. The network connection timed out." My girlfriends is having the same problem on her iTunes PC.
