iTunes store unavailable?

Anyone else having trouble connecting to iTunes Store? For the last hour (2 pm EDT - 3 pm EDT) I've been attempting to connect to the iTunes Store and iTunes keeps telling me, "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store, Make sure your network connection is active and try again."

Obviously my network connection is okay (I posted this).

First time I tried to Sign In to the iTunes Store, I got unknown iTunes error (-9813). Updated to the current iTunes 8.2, then repaired Keychain Access (Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access > Keychain First Aid > Repair). Still got error 9813. Then after reading a post from Stephen S on the macosxhints.com forum, I went back to Keychain Access > Preferences > General and clicked on Reset My Keychain, which reverts the keychain back to factory default settings with a 'fresh root certificate.' That worked. Got into the iTunes Store and created my account.

Follow-up to my 6/24/09 post re: iTunes error (-9813). While resetting the keychain back to factory default settings solved error 9813, it created a new problem. The 6 password keychains for my 3 email accounts, incoming and outgoing for each, were deleted. After a night of trial and error, I finally got my email functioning properly. But I can't tell you how, exactly. So before you revert back to factory settings, copy down your login Passwords (Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access > Window > Keychain Access > login > Passwords > @ Internet). There may be other consequences I have yet to discover.

I am also getting an error message when I try to download my 149 purchased item. The message is:

Unable to check for available downloads. The network connection was reset. Make sure your network connection is active and try again.

I have tried all the suggestion that the online support provider gave but nothing is working. Are people still having this issue or is it just me?
