iWeb Publishing Whole Website...

Oh my word, every time I make a correction to my website it wants to upload the whole thing and NOT just the changes. What gives? I am running this under Mobile Me and it just started doing this BEFORE the update. Now that I have updated it... the thing continues to do this... Any thoughts as to why it has to publish the whole thing time and again rather then just the changes?

Thanks in advance... Jay

OK... Just got of the phone with Apple Care, and they were able to replicate the problem.. They got someone else on the phone and they took my story.. I made it clear to them that I did not think that this was a 3.0.0 to 3.0.1 upgrade problem because I had the problem before I upgraded at midnight last night.. Same results both times.

I am very **** at the mobileme chat person who insisted that the problem was with the iweb software, and that she could not help.. I did not update the software prior to having the problem..

I've tried three tests now.

I load a domain file into iWeb, mess around with one page, click "Publish Site Changes" and, inside 1 minute, the site is ready to visit and all the pages are blue.

For me, iWeb/MobileMe is working as it should as is publishing to a local folder.

If the system is flawed, how come it works for me? Seriously, I like to know the answer.

Wow ... you sound like me when I state that none of my three 17" MBP's AC wall warts have failed, my battery packs haven't exploded, and have had experienced none of the horrific problems experienced by others here ...

(grin)

Although it took quite a while, my iWeb site just re-published itself after I only added an entry to its blog. All photos are there, and all is working well.

For me with my meager site, all is well. I will know more about the situation tomorrow morning at 6:30, when Apple calls me back. There are others with more involved sites than mine, and there is, indeed, something going on.

3,000 posts cannot be wrong, Roddy ... or can they???

Having the same issues too now. Definitely happened the first time after I did the update, so they must have screwed that up somehow, I'm just not sure how exactly.

Hopefully it wont take more than a week to get an update out. Otherwise, I can't publish my blog anymore, if I have to re-upload the whole thing every time I make a new entry, it'll kill my internet. Ugh. **** happens, but hopefully they'll notice.

Add me to the list of blue turning red as well.

My other problem is that I have the hardest time publishing anything. After trying countless times, I was able to get past all the error messages and post a single site. All my other sites still receive publishing errors. This problem has been constant since '09.

Yesterday when I saw the update 3.0.1 I was all excited that maybe these publishing errors would be fix. Unfortunately not. I even tried using FTP again to godaddy instead of mobilme and all it did was freeze.

Now, I'm not sure what this update fixed. As far as I can tell it only made more problems.

The same problem started happening to me. I tried all the solutions such as Publish Site Changes. One little paragraph change (just some word changes) on one page and every page goes red when I publish. I suspect it's happening to everyone. I assumed that this problem may have started with the recent update - at any rate, it's just the last couple of days.

IS ANYONE AT APPLE PAYING ATTENTION TO ALL THESE POSTS?
