iTunes Freezes when iPhone Connected to Computer

The funny thing is that any 10 year old phone will allow you to import and sync at least contacts, except iphone. Amazing junk.

You'd think that this would have been fixed by now... Apple is kind of starting to get rotten. First they remove Mobile Device Support for Server 2003 and then I run into this.

At least there are users out there to help us out.

was getting this problem as well and had downloaded quite a few podcasts on the iPhone, just deleted all bar one and now it no longer causes iTunes to freeze!

same issue here - i tried everything. One thing that did work for me was to run the iTunes diagnostics. Wrote about it on our blog

I've had the same problem for months on my work PC. I too did the whole uninstall reinstall thing. It syncs fine with my home laptop PC. I went into preferences on iTunes and under devices there is a switch that turns off the auto sync. I checked that switch and have been manually syncing my Iphone. So far that seems to have solved the problem (crossing fingers and knocking on wood)
