Apple Hot News Headlines - not working?

Every time I click the "Hot News Headlines" at Apple.com none of the "Latest News" headlines display.

I have tried every browser in both Mac and Windows on 2 different Macs.

Am I alone in this?

Thank U!

(sorry if I posted in wrong section - if I have please throw this in Using your Unibody MBP - Thanks!)

Eric,

I have tested, and my fonts are all good. Thank you for your suggestion!

Ali,

I do not have any firewall or AV program in Mac OS X, and I have removed Norton, using the Norton removal tool, from Windows just to test. I have received the same results.

Thanks for your help!

Neuroanatomist,

THANK YOU for your speedy and detailed help!

I have hijacked this thread, so I will give Julie a chance to respond.

All the best,

Great call Ali,

However, that has not worked either.

I have gone so far as to reinstall Firefox completely, and I have tried activating and deactivating all Java settings.

Here is the million-dollar question. Why can I see the Japanese site and the UK site with no problems?

That is the question, which is why I started grasping at straws with the Fonts since it was a similarity I could see between your and JulieK23's configurations and history.

Did the hot new items appear for you on http://www.apple.com/startpage/

Hi Eric,

I have a 15-inch, 2.53 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 320 GB hard drive late 2008 unibody MacBook Pro notebook.

I run Mac OS X 10.5.6 and Boot Camp, with a Windows XP Professional, with SP2, partition.

I have experienced the same issue in IE, Firefox, and Safari on both operating systems.

I receive the following decoding error too.

+ http://images.apple.com/global/scripts/drawers.js - cannot decode+

I have just noticed this issue after having read this thread. I had experienced this before on an earlier MacBook Pro, and it had been resolved by having an email sent to the following contact.

I will have this information forwarded again.

Thank you.

I have written this quick note with an update.

I had found out that I had not installed the following update properly.

http://support.apple.com/downloads/Javafor_Mac_OS_X_10_5_Update_3

I have since installed it, I have also reinstalled Firefox, and everything works properly on the Mac OS X side, which is good enough for me.

I have reinstalled Firefox in Windows, to no avail.

I am not sure of what exactly has done the trick, but the aforementioned steps have resolved the issue for me, and I am satisfied.

Perhaps the long anticipated Boot Camp update would solve the issue for Windows.

I thank you all for your time and help. I really appreciate it. I hope that this solution works for Julie too.

All the best,
LukeD
