Google Adsense suddenly gone missing

I have had my site up for a couple of months now and have successfully been using the Google Adsense widget to place ads. I recently made a number of changes to the site, primarily around the menu bar. When I republished the site this morning I noticed that all of the google ads were missing on all pages on the published site. They were still showing in iweb. I checked the published page source and the code for google ads is omitted. I created a second site from a template and added a google ad to it. Same problem, add shows in iweb but does not end up in the finalized published page. Other sites that I have that have not been republished lately continue to show their ads. Has anyone encountered this before or have any recommendations......thanks for any suggestion you may have

A bit more information - I tried to reestablish my google adsense in Iweb ( file -> Setup Google Adsense) From the drop down box I chose Change New Account. From the next drop down I put in my existing Adsense id and postal code. Got error saying info provided did not match account. Tried several time with correct data but to no success. Tried different accounts no mater what I entered for a new account it said this was already an active account, even for strangely made up account names. Appears to be a problem with the iweb to google interface but I have no idea how to fix. Suggestions?

Hey, I am experiencing the exact same thing. I updated some items on my iWeb site, republished the site and lost all my Adsense ads when viewed online. However, the widgets remain on iWeb. I have removed these widgets, reconfigured and re-installed ... all with the same results, the loss of all my Adsense ads. Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated - as this indeed does appear to be an iWeb - Google Adsense interface problem.

I am having the same trouble, exactly, which started yesterday. I cannot get iWeb 09 to recognize my valid adsense account with the pop down window asking for a zip code or last five digits of phone number and my ads disappeared Thursday afternoon. It reports "couldn't find the account."
Seems to me that this is an issue between Apple and Google that needs repair, so hopefully, Apple will get on it soon.

I grab the widget code directly from the Adsense webpage:

https://www.google.com/adsense/adslot-add

Create the ad there and it'll save it as for you to copy and paste in the Insert Widget HTML area.

I've tried this right beside a iWeb-inserted ad and the one from Google's own HTML always shows up even when iWeb's doesn't. I don't even try to understand why, but this solution never fails me.

Also, getting the ad from Google allows more choices in the look of the ad in terms of shape, colors, and other features, so there's an added benefit.

i´m experiencing the same in my two websites. as soon as the changes were made to the sites yesterday, all google ads disappear. we tried also what you guys did - removing the ads and putting them back and uploading the whole sites all over again- nothing works. there are also no more page impressions from google from today. when we tried to verify the google acct from iweb: the account apparently cannot be found. we tried to set up a new account : the acct was apparently registered already. we´re using iweb´09 version 3.0.1.

is there anybody out there who can help? pls?!

I bit the bullet today and followed the suggestion by Seth et al and used the HTML Snippet widget to place my own code (retrieved from Google) into my page. It works as expected as the new ads appear in the published pages. The old ads, also as expected still do not appear and I expect it will take some divine intervention (finally and eventually) by apple to make these work. I find it annoying to have to do a 'work around' for published features that do not work. Hopefully the HTML Snippet will not fail after all the time it will take to convert to this method. I will leave this post as unanswered for the next little while to see if someone comes up with a definitive solution to make the Google Adsense widget work or it gets magically fixed. Thanks to all......
