Google Adsense suddenly gone missing

I have had my site up for a couple of months now and have successfully been using the Google Adsense widget to place ads. I recently made a number of changes to the site, primarily around the menu bar. When I republished the site this morning I noticed that all of the google ads were missing on all pages on the published site. They were still showing in iweb. I checked the published page source and the code for google ads is omitted. I created a second site from a template and added a google ad to it. Same problem, add shows in iweb but does not end up in the finalized published page. Other sites that I have that have not been republished lately continue to show their ads. Has anyone encountered this before or have any recommendations......thanks for any suggestion you may have

I have exactly the same issue. Can not login to my Google Adsense account I created a few years back. It was working perfectly with iWeb'08, but now in iWeb'09 every time I try to log in it tells me that 'The information you provided did not match any Google AdSense account.' Account information I enter is exactly the same as in my Google profile.

I just phoned up Apple Support UK about this issue. They told me to follow Mario Batz's solution

had to remove the apple Adsense boxes from my site and republish it entirely, add the html snippets with the google code and publish again. then the adds worked.

Unfortunately using HTML snippets omits the whole point of iWeb AdSense integration ;/ I've asked support rep. to pass on information about this issue to relevant department, so hopefully Apple/Google will come up with a solution soon.

To follow up on my earlier posting: Over the weekend I resorted to manually setting up the ads on Google's adsense site. It's actually nice to be able to select styles that aren't available in iWeb, but it is a bit of a pain. One thing to note is that doing the ads in this manner requires a bit of patience in that pasting the resulting ad code into the html snippet and clicking the apply button doesn't create a visible result for a few minutes. I believe the ad is communicating with Google before it is provided with default content.
One more important thing to mention: There are so-called widgets at a site called widgetbox that seem to ease the process of making adsense ads from their widget tool. Be aware that some of the creation tools are set up with default parameters to point to other ads and another adsense account number besides yours. You can edit the adsense pub number then create the widge, but looking at the resulting code your pub number still fails to appear. In other words, use Google to build your ad code. Widgetbox still has many fine widgets to explore.

it sounds like it´s going to take forever to fix this problem in our 2 websites. we actually took the iweb09 because of the widgets & the automated ftp upload to mobile me. so, now we have to do it all MANUALLY again from the top???

i thought we bought APPLE PRODUCTs not microsoft!!!

no matter how nice it is to choose colors & designs directly from google´s site, the act of doing it all over again is a torture.

but, thanks for all your input. since my arm is already in pain from clicking, i prefer to wait for an official reply from apple support group. and if anybody finds a shortcut solution for our 2 sites, please...please do write!

I have the same problem. I have posted the code by hand on this page http://www.bestsurveysforyou.com/US/Privacy_Policy.html
You see that it works right.
Then go to this page http://www.bestsurveysforyou.com/US/Shop%26Save.html and the iweb adsense code does not load all the linking data for the ads at the top and bottom of page. Anyone here know if there is a real fix or just a workaround like what i have been doing? I have all the updates installed and still no luck...

This is now finally working for me. I was already at 10.5.7 so I don't believe this was the problem. That said, I have replaced all of my adsense widgets with HTML snippet. I found there is more flexibility with the html snippet and I know that if there is ever another problem with the interface between google and mac/iweb, I know I will not be affected. The work to implement a html snippet was no more than using the adsense widget once I set things up in google. THanks to all that replied
