Safari fails to scroll to bookmark anchor

Safari doesn't scroll a text area properly in response to clicking on a bookmark link. Page that illustrates the problem:

http://www.weavemaker.com/bookmarktest.php

I've reported this as a bug to Apple. Any workarounds, other than redesigning the page?

Hi all

I realize this thread is a bit old but has anyone come up with a solution to this problem?

I am having exactly this problem and cannot see why an anchor works with one site and not on another?

Safari will probably be my main reader base - and I use named anchors all over the place as my pages are often long.

Any help would be much appreciated 🙂
