SNAPPING to Regions and/or Playhead ???

i am not finding the snapping tool i need - perhaps someone can help me out. i am not editing to a time grid but rather to picture so the time grid element is irrelevant to me....so....

1) i want regions to snap together so i can but-edit one region to another easily.

2) i want to be able to snap a region to the playhead. i use the playhead as a place keeper to spot to picture and want to be able to snap to it (playhead) easily to spot sound to picture.

went through the manual to no avail. thanks for your input.

Things move forward very quickly, & old habits die hard… sometimes one needs to be reminded that old-fashioned working methods aren't needed any more. Now where did I put that splicing block? And I think I need a fresh razor.

Another idea : KC "Go To Position" (I've got it set as "g" but it's probably something else by default…)

With this key command a window pops up with bars/beats and smpte position - simply select a region, KC "Go To Position", type in where you want to go and then KC "Pick Up Clock".

Much like "Spot" in PT...
