I just upgrade my ipod touch to 3.0 and try to connect my macbook bluetooth device with my ipod touch to send a picture but it doesnt work....my macbook found my ipod´s bluetooth, but it doesnt connect to the ipod, when i tried to send the picture, it says in my macbook ¨The device does not have the necessary services¨...neither with my motorola bluetooth set, the ipod doesnt find it.
You'll be even more amused to find that in countries other than the US, the Iphone 3G is now usable as a wireless router. This you CANNOT do with the iphone in the US.
I have to say that I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one having this problem. I thought I was going crazy for a minute.
My Sony S9's lost all controls after the upgrade. My Sony DR-BT21G headset is almost un-usable now without the dongle. The signal drops a lot and no controls. Although I do have controls when using the dongle.
I can you both of these headsets on other devices, such as my Blackberry and even my laptop with Ubuntu, with no problems. So, I'm very confident that it's not the headsets that are the problem.
This is a huge disappointment. This along with other Mac OS problems is making me consider leaving Apple after many years. Macs are supposed to "just work".
My Ipod Touch only reognizes and pairs with my phone and MacBook. They do not connect, but I also have bluetooth headphones from Logitech that connect with no problem. I really did hope that I could send some pics to my Ipod using Bluetooth. So upset!
I find it ridiculas that such a great user friendly company as Apple have skimped on giving the Ipod Touch full Bluetooth capabilities! What do they intend to do about it?
Richard,
I have the same hearing aids as you (phonak versata)and the icom as well that is A2DP compatible. They will hook to the IPOD Touch with no problem and I do have sound but that's the problem, too much sound, the volume control doesn't work so I have to turn down the volume with my remote pilot for my hearing aids but then if some one comes into my office, I can't hear them because I turned down the hearings too much. My IPOD TOUCH is the new 3G but with the software upgrade on the 2G there should be no difference. I called Apple and was told my icom needed an adapter to make them compatible with the A2DP format so don't expect a lot of help from them. Try to re-pair your icom and make sure it is completely charged first. I hope some of this helps but I still have a problem with the volume control issue, just hope Apple gets a fix for the volume control. I've read a lot of posts on the internet and a lot of people are having problems pairing to bluetooth head phones.
