Invalid Security Code - frustration !

Hello to you all Apple/Mac lovers 🙂,

I did see that someone had already posted about this earlier, only the topic was marked as solved so I'm making a new one.

Here's a little heads up for anyone who doesn't about this 😉 : when trying to add a credit card to the payment info on my iTunes store account, it says that I have to enter a valid security code - but the code I entered is already fully valid ! However many times I try I can't get it to work. Any clues, ideas, help ? Thanks a lot 🙂 !

SO i had the same issue...I had looked on a bunch of websites about it...I tryed getting rid of the card off the account and it wouldnt work. Then one time i tried to do something it just brought me to my purchase history and it had a bunch of songs in red saying i owed money. I guess they didnt charge it because i usally keep most of my money in savings so i transfered some to checking and i tried it again and it charged and im pretty sure its all fixed.

Ok so apparently if you are using a DEBIT CARD like i am, iTunes will give this error if you DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY to finish the bill. apparently things I downloaded three days ago wern't billed immediately like i originally thought, so my bank account was dry when the bill hit from Apple, it's dumb they don't tell you "Hey, you don't have enough funds to finish this bill, and can't download anything untill it's fixed. sorry 😟" but nooooo, I hafto figure it out on my own, but only took 45min cause i'm sharp and this was my first issue like this

SO, for those of you getting this error, do some math like an adult, check your bank account or credit card AVAILABLE balance, and you should be able to go from there, like i did.

Try getting a GC - that seems to solve this error. The error is incorrect and your account is either negative due to apples mistake or they security locked your account - Tech support can't tell if either of those are the case if you call them - I found that out. Enter teh GC and it will subtract any money you owe or it will say your account was security locked because entering your info failed too many times. They will direct you to reset your password. Then go to billing and select none for billing and save. log out/log back in and put the same CC info that failed a thousand times and it will accept it.
