I have got this error for several days. I've tried restoring and not using a back up, but I still can't get the Youtube app to connect. Anyone else having this problem?
No...2G users have always had the ability to connect to YouTube. Considering I can't connect through WIFI either there is a big problem. And others appear to have it too.
The first time I tried YouTube (when I refused my neighbor's WiFi connection that came up) this happened: "Cannot connect to YouTube". But after I quit and started YouTube again, it is working (over Edge, of course).
Same problem here. 2G phone with 3.0 FW. Everything worked fine before upgrade, now youtube and location services won't work. Wifi keeps losing the password too.
Any help would be very appreciated.

It's now working for me again. I've originally upgraded from 2.2.1 to 3.0 on an unlocked iPhone 2G just by using the generic iTunes upgrade path. I've now redone the whole procedure but this time using PwnageTool. That seems to have done the trick.
Same kind of issue excepy my youtube connects sometimes and not just "not at all". I sent a device log diagnostic to one of the apple rep to test why my wi-fi is slow and it happened to time out and not connect during the testing. Hopefully it will give them some insight as to why the youtube keeps going out or just not connect at all like you guys are enduring.
