I had this same problem for a couple days and called myself trying everything. After coming across this and just trying it, success it works. Thanks a Lot!
I tried syncing and unsyncing my music and also checking/unchecking automatically fill free space with songs but not luck. I do not want to delete voice memos because they are voice memos I want to keep and was about to sync up with i first downloading itunes 10, I even upgraded to 10.1 and same thing. I tried on my windows vista and windows 7 pc and same issue. Pleas help I would really like to be able to back up my ipod whenever I make changes like adding a new app or putting in new notes or putting something into my calendar or even voice memos.
**Update** I found another form where they said to find any duplicate voice memos on the iphone/ipod and remove the duplicates then go to itunes and make sure to delete all duplicates there as well. Once I did that it synced and I did not have to delete my voice memos. For some reason itunes was duplicating my memos probably from when i got a new ipod or restored my ipod. Hopefully this will help someone else
I just experienced this and I know exactly what I did cause it.
I synced some music to my iPod and asked it to fill the spare space at random with music. Afterwards I then didn't remember that the iPod was full and installed a couple of Apps over wifi. When I next plugged the iPod in I saw this error.
that is amazing. i cannot believe that worked! to think how much time i wasted deleting "corrupt back ups" when i could've just done that. reminds me of the IT saying: have you tried turning it off and on?
How do I delete my voice memos? I noticed that my memos have some how been quadrupled so for every one memo I took, there are at least 4 copies, or more. There are a lot of messages! Deleting one by one is taking way too long!
hi! i also encountered that problem and i don't know what to do. i thought my ipod is broken. luckily i went through this page and boom i saw your advice, so thanks! fortunately it worked for my ipod! lol. see ya!
I received a new iPod Touch 4G after my home button started not recognizing every strike. When I restored from backup from the old iPod Touch 4G to the new one, the problems started.
I had to delete my duplicate NOTES (there were many) and re-sync. This cleared ths issue right away.
