ipod touch 3.0 software and car interface

Yes it is apples fault, because I use a car kit made BY apple, and works with every iPod, my friends v2.21 itouch, but not my 3.0 itouch, makes me very mad, apple fix this now, or you will never get another cent from me again,

Nope, still not fixed. I had my 2nd gen 16gb ipod touch with 2.2.1 software and it worked perfectly fine with my 08 Scion XB, granted it wouldn't charge like my old 30gb ipod video would, but I'd just remember to bring it inside to charge. Well, the other day I upgraded to 3.1, and now it doesn't work at all. I plug it in, no charge and no connection at all. 😟 I rarely use my ipod other than plugging it into the car and listening, so basically my ipod is useless now 😟 Apple, please fix this fast. I've got road trips coming up and can't not have my ipod to listen to.
That and it was a waste of $5..

In my Honda Fit there is a small glimmer of success. With 3.0 the iPod would play, but you could not change playlists, artists, etc. from the stereo. With 3.1.1 I can access each of these categories, but I have to make multiple attempts and cycle through the menu a few times. Eventually when it does pull up the list of Artists (or Albums, Playlists) the selection scrolling is excrutiatingly slow. So, although there is some progress, it is still not fully usable as it was with 2.x.

Mine randomly started working again. I don't what I did or why it started working. I actually tried it just last night and it didn't work at all, I could plug it in, no charge and no sync to the car's audio interface. And today I randomly decided I'd see if it might work....and it did! It is playing just fine now 🙂
