Custom SMS Sounds & Ringtones

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone knows how to make custom SMS sounds for the iPhone 3Gs without Jailbreak? I have watched many videos on youtube that can do it but I don't want to Jailbreak my phone. There is a way to make free Ringtones from your Itunes library (see Link below)so there must be a way to make custom SMS tones WITHOUT jailbreaking. If you know how to do this please let me know.

None of my ringtones have come from iTunes and I have a stock phone. I made them myself from music I have.

I make ringtones with the music I have in my itunes. There is any easy way to do it. My ringtones don't come from itunes, I just make them in itunes because thats were I keep all my music 🙂

It is possible to create your own custom ringtones without jailbreaking, there is even a tab for it in iTunes. You just can't have any custom ringtones for SMS or mail.

Wow, thanks! I thought you couldn't even set a custom normal ringtone xD

I guess this is the same as my previous phone (samsung e-900). Which didn't let me choose a custom text tone either.

so the $15 program might be an option if you can't follow directions and figure it out using other free tools.

Well like I said, there are a lot of stupid people out there......I know how to do all that stuff so I don't have to worry about it. I just saw the program and decided to share the link.

Also note, if you make a ringtone longer than 30 seconds, it wont sync.
