sound stays on headphone mode?!?

all my sound if coming through the headphones. when i remove the headphones no sound is coming through the speaker only when i attatch the headphones i can hear sound! whats going on?!?!

iphone 3g, iPhone OS 3.0

same problem here - since FW 3.0 I have some strange Audio Problems caused by the iPhone Software. (never had any Problems with FW 2.2)

Plug and unplug the headphones 7 or 8 times. Sometimes a little debris will get in the headphone jack and make the phone think the headphones are still in when they are not.

This happened to me a few times..... until I realised that the switch on the side of the iPhone was on silent mode!

I was wrong about "with headphones..." eccc
When I am with headphones I hear the ringtone of incoming calls but not system sounds (key click and lock/unlock buttons)

Oh God......
the answer for me is simple......what a stupid thing.....
I realize now....that...my cover for the iphone press the mute switch......
So....really ridicolous, SORRY
ehehehe
