3GS and my Lamborghini - Bluetooth not working

I had a 3G till a couple of weeks back. The bluetooth worked fine with my 2009 Lamborghini Gallardo. Could make and receive call, search my phonebook, see my recent call list, etc. Everything worked fine. A couple of weeks back I upgraded my phone to a 3GS and it just cannot discover the Lamborghini. Neither can my wife's 3GS. Meanwhile the old 3G phone (which I now use as an iPod) still doscovers the Lamborghini fine, but of course its not a phone anymore, but only serves to show that the bluetooth radio in the car is working fine.

My question is: has anyone else has this problem with a Lamborghini or with an Audi R8 (I am told the R8 and Gallardo share the same navigation/audio module)?

Imac 24 inch, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

I am sorry.. But it seems you have purchased a faulty Lamborghini. Your best bet is to return the Lamborghini and get a Ferrari as I have heard no one with Ferrari's complaining about this particular issue.

=)

Seriously though, I think you may have to call Laborghini to see if they have an upgraded bluetooth module that works with the 3GS. I am sure they could service the car and replace it with one that works. The issue seems to be with the bluetooth module compatibility with the 3GS. Or it could be like the other members stated... You just need to unpair first.

My friend has a Harmon Kardon system in his car, and says that the iPhone 2G worked perfectly, however the 3GS has sound coming out of only one speaker in the car (mono). He called the company, but they haven't heard of this. By the sound of it, looks like something changed, but it's difficult to say right now whether it's hardware or software. Hopefully this will be resolved when OS 3.1 makes its debut.

That is true. However, this Lamborghini problem is almost sure to be a hardware problem (either cabling or something in the car's audio system.) Regardless, there is almost zero chance that another Lamborghini owner will step up to the plate here and help resolve the issue. Come on, how many Lamborghinis are out there? I've NEVER seen one on the street or on the planet.

If this guy wants to BT, he should either take the car to a dealer and get it setup or he should buy a BT headset.

I've seen two of them, but none for at least 15 years. I did see a Tesla two months ago, quite an amazing sighting.

There was an earlier post, more of a rant, telling folks that if they have a luxury car (believe the poster had a Jag) don't get an iPhone 3GS; that thread was expunged, I imagine due to its tone. But it appears all the problems posted here do relate to high end cars or specific earphones. My visor mounted BlueAnt Supertooth 3 has made the 2G to 3GS transition just fine .. and I'm sure the lack of any cable connection to the phone is one reason why.

Well, here in Jersey there are a ** load of them.....It's ***** that you haven't had the chance to see one up close...Amazing machines...And to drive them, words can't describe especially the new ones with 560hp... As for the prob, my friend who has the new LP 560 said he had to take his to the dealer to show him how to sync it with his BT system
