Delivery question!!!

I ordered a Macbook Pro 17 last Monday. I am suppose to get it today as schedule shows, but what I notice is the computer is not at my local neighborhood, it's at LOUISVILLE , KY , US. I live in San Jose, California.
Can anyone tell me what's going on with my laptop, it's far away from me.

I ordered a Macbook pro 13" online and i configured it around 2 weeks ago. Luckly, they shipped it from China on July 17th. I too find my macbook sitting in Kentucky and i live in BC, Canada. i think a few people here are right about that being a major hub for UPS. However my package has been sitting there for 2 days i hope nothing is wrong.

Prince, would you please post your updated tracking info (like you did in your first post). I'm in San Jose too, I ordered a MBP last week and so far my tracking info matches yours almost to a "T" +/- ~10/20 minutes. Its extremely consistent and I'm sure that the rest of the delivery schedule will follow yours closely. Looking at your time-line, I'm expecting delivery next week 😟 but would like to get a better estimate.

I ordered a customized macbook with printer and ipod (education rebates) which I thought would take a little longer with it being a custom build.

The delivery time on the printer says 2-3 weeks on the apple website but I was surprised when the delivery date was 12 Aug when I made the original order on the 15th July.

Can't say I'm all that impressed so far but I know it will turn up in the end.

Shipping method says merge in transport so no idea what company they use for UK deliveries but I hope they handle my toy gently

Mr. Brody,
I'm glad your overall experience with FedEx has been a good one! My point has not been to argue whether or not YOU have had a satisfactory experience with Fedex as your shipper! After all I'm in your camp as a consumer of Apple products. I see that your my neighbor and I worked with FedEx Express for years at their Dulles airport ramp. I merely stated my comparative experience working with freight companies over the years. As I have already made crystal clear I have extensive knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes in a FedEx station. Good luck filing an insurance claim with them do to a missing or damaged package. I dealt with several of these myself and typically while the actual shipper
and FedEx as the freight company were fighting this out, the recipient was left somewhere in the middle. Please consider this an expose if you will. Pray tell why you are so defensive over this matter? Is your profession related at all to the freight business?

Thanks
