Dell Latitude D510, Windows XP
This has been happening to me for a few weeks. Same error. Today after it happened again, I unplugged my lightning cable from one USB port in my computer and put it in a different port.
iTunes opened just fine and went through the backup process flawlessly.
Can't say why this fixed it, but it did.
This might help:
In iphone if you reset network setting will fix this problem.
i had the same problem plus wifi was connected but couldn't use/open any web page and same problem with the facebook, whatsapp, snapchat app.
but now wifi is also working and itunes also detecting the iphone like old times.
let me know if this helps.
Good luck
Thank You
Go to Device manager and under portable device if you see attention mark over the apple iPhone, just right click on the apple iphone and select uninstall the driver.
Then unplug your iPhone and re plug it back. the drivers will again install and it must work.
Give it a try..!!
I had the same problem. Could not sync at all. Kept getting the error message with these numbers: (0xE8000065). Turned out to be it was a bad cable. I had tried different USB ports to no avail. But then when I plugged in an old original Apple iPhone 4 cable, Voila! It worked.
If anyone is still experiencing this problem and still is not able to figure out that how to get rid of it so here are few tips:
1. Change the usb port you are using
2. Restart your iPhone
3. Restart your PC
4. Then try again
5. Still does not work? THEN uninstall the iTunes and install it again in another drive
6. After that update it to latest version and make sure that the iOS is also updated to the latest
7. Still not working, then contact apple support.
If they dont even have the solution then kindly shift to Android..... 😁
hello. i found a simply way to solve this. take only minutes.
I use windows 7 so this is my way. be sure to close iTunes program first and unplug iPhone.
got to Control panel.. i don't know where to start but i always use Windows button + R and type in "control" hit enter !
(note: view by: large icons)
Click Programs and Features
Locate iTunes and right click "repair"
wait for it....
done.
open itunes.
plug in phone.
hope it helps. 🙂
you are awesome! Thank you!
wonderfull! Tks Oscar!
Wow. I had to try three different Apple cords, but you're right, changing the cord out and using ANOTHER one was the simple fix... Third cord's a charm!
After calling Apple, they helped me turn off my laptops firewall and macfee security. It then was able to update and resore. Hope this helped.
tried a new cable, connected to the back of the computer, and its works. I knew something was different when a different menu came up asking what I wanted to do (upload pictures, etc).
Did you read some of the solutions given in this thread? Have you tried them? This is not a bug in Apple's software.
Yes I did read them. And no nothing helped. Maybe someone else knows more at this moment. Because if nothing helps I go to the store maybe they can help me and otherwise I throw the phone away...
The front port is a slave and doesn't have sufficient power thus the error message. The rear port is a master. Please don't punch any ports.
