codesign: unrecognized option `--entitlements'

Hello Everyone,

I am new to the iPhone SDK, just bought the program a couple days ago. I can't seem to figure out how to install my application on my iPod Touch that i plan to use for testing. I have tried re-installing Xcode multiple times. I have also read all other posts on this topic. I just keep getting the "codesign: unrecognized option `--entitlements' " error no matter what i try. Does anyone have anyone have the solution to this problem?

What version OS X?
What version Xcode?
Which SDK?
What OS on your device?

ummm...

XCode current is v3.1.3

Bring that up and try again, especially with the beta SDKs...by the way, you understand those versions are beta, right?

Actually I just checked in the "About Xcode" and it is actually 3.1.4...

yes i know that they are beta..

Where did the app you are working with come from?

Something you built, borrowed or snagged from Apples samples or...?

I built the app.

I'd suggest working with an unmolested sample app first, just to set a baseline, then try DIY. If you are new to betas, I'd also suggest working with release software first so that you can benefit from a broader pool of support, etc. while you get your sea legs, so to speak.

ok i tried sample code and now i get this error:

<com.apple.tools.product-pkg-utility>: error: could not read CFBundleIdentifier from Info.plist (null)

Yes, from Apple, it was Bubble Level.

I'd get away from the betas for now...get your feet underneath you with release products and then consider jumping in to the beta-waters 🙂
