Snow Leopard Installation

Got my copy of Snow Leopard (update from 10.5) this morning, inserted it into the DVD drive of my iMac, pressed "installation" and everything worked well. No problems, no show stoppers, no worries.

Took about an hour, rebooted once after 15 minutes ("45 minutes left") and completed installation smoothly with a final reboot.

System is up and running stable, boot procedure and general system performance appear to be quicker...

I agree i have so many bugs, instabilities and infact the install was the only thing that went smoothly 🙂 but im ok with it, i know it will all get sorted out even if it takes a year :P. People should have learned this by now, when they upgrade to any new os there is always be problems and it will normally take a year or two for them to get cleared up, hopefully that's not the case here, i mean i have alot of work to do this yeah....but i know from experience thats the way it works.

not had one exception since modern os (os9/win95)

Loooooooooooooooo and behold - my luck turned on me...
Huge problems with using Logitech's S530 Mac wireless keyboard and mouse combo... I dont get it...
My MAC monitor used to toggle between screens easily - basically - I turned on my laptop and shut the lid - the monitor did everything else and no changing of settings ever... Now i turned on my computer and the "mouse" pointer - points to empty space, no programs - nothing... I cried and yelled then started all over again...
I re-installed the whole thing on my laptop... basically no peripherals... I need my computer and love the performance and speed but my Ext. HD as well as monitor are useless for now.
I'm going to a MAC store and sit with a guru of Mac to get the poop.... This is crazy - its turning out to be the Vista version of Mac and I don't like what it does at all... boot up is a new adventure on what will and wont "connect"...
The mouse works IF you disconnect the Nano transmitter and reconnect... it appears that the computer retains no settings or externals when shutting down... When you boot up - its a start over... I'm only running the mouse on my laptop for now...
Anyone else get thiese issues ???

Finally got it figured out with the great and I mean great support from Apple Customer Service and Product Support.... I was the mouse... the transmitter ! Logitech have not posted any updates therefore on start up - it sends the Kernels into a whirlwind of meriads making the computer stall...
Problem resolution: Start the puter up - get it going - plug in the transmitter and actival the mouse - a few extra steps but hey - Logitech mouse and keyboards are worth it...
So that's it - fast and furious Mac OSX working fine. Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Yes they are very slow with their support contrary to what they say on their website. I found that if I launch it first thing in the morning and leave it hidden it works OK but still crashes sometimes. I use it with all my guitar students so it's frustrating when it does crash. Guitar Pro 6 is coming soon so hopefully that might fix our problem. cheers John Macpherson Allan Thornleigh Guitar Academy, Sydney Australia

Hi Lezmando
No still waiting to hear back from guitar pro there support is very, very slow I emailed them over 10 days ago. My Guitar Pro has been working if I leave it hidden in the dock it works sort of. When I launch a new song it crashes and when I edit a song it crashes as well. I sent the error reports to them so hopefully they can come up with a patch.
cheers Johnmac
