AT&T 3G Option wireless USB and globetrotter connect

I have the AT&T 3G option wireless USB and Globetrotter connect software. The software will launch and run under 10.6 but it cant find the 3G USB Option modem? It all works fine under leopard.

Does anyone have any 3G comminucation to 10.6? we need a way to connect to the 3G network under 10.6?

On another note, I was at the AT&T store today and they are still selling the card. I asked the sales rep if it would work with a new mac I plan to buy today for my wife (will be loaded with Snow Leopard and I told him it would be loaded with Snow Leopard).

His response was to say that "sure, it works with Macs, want to get one? I can have it activated in a few minutes". There's 1/2 the problem right there.... horrible or non-existent rep training.

Ok I have the USB option card. I have used the uninstall on the globetrotter connect software, however when I go into the network setting on my computer I see three things:
- Icon 322 App
- Icon 322 Diag
- Icon 322 Modem

Just wondering 1) why did the uninstall program not remove these and 2) is there a manual way to do this. I presume these files must be removed before snow leopard will configure the Option card.

Would appreciate any guidance. On how to make this happen.

Hi!
I have same problems with an Icon 225 from Orange Romania. I wrote to Opticon support and they answered today: "We are working on new versions of our connection software and these will be available from our support website for download in approximately 3 weeks time from now." On the other side I think that I have to wait more longer cause my Icon is an OEM..

hmm, mine says "GT Ultra Express" model geo 302.
this is what it looks like: http://www.comfortsurf.com/images/option/gtultra/ExpressGE0302_3.JPG

Hopefully its the same as the "Globetrotter Express HSUPA"

Just don't want to RE-INSTALL Snow Leopard to see it doesn't work!

If anyone has this card and it works successfully, please advise!

Thanks so much!
