AT&T 3G Option wireless USB and globetrotter connect

I have the AT&T 3G option wireless USB and Globetrotter connect software. The software will launch and run under 10.6 but it cant find the 3G USB Option modem? It all works fine under leopard.

Does anyone have any 3G comminucation to 10.6? we need a way to connect to the 3G network under 10.6?

For those using MAC OS 10.6 an are having issues with your AT&T Quicksilver USB Air Card.

Go to support.option.com/att.

On the left side click on: New! GT Connect for Mac 10.4.11, 10.5.x and 10.6.x and Manual and Download the file.

Disconnect from the internet. Turn Airport of and disconnect any ethernet cables.

Remove Quicksilver USB & Uninstall old version of drivers and Globetrotter Connect by going to Finder>Applications>GlobeTrotter Connect>GlobeTrotter Connect Uninstall.

Install the new GlobeTrotter Connect.mpkg file.

Once the installation is complete, start the program: Finder>Applications>GlobeTrotter Connect>GlobeTrotter Connect.

Insert the Quicksilver USB. Once the connect button appears, click it and you will be connected.

There are no user ID's or passwords required.

I just resolved my issues today with the help of AT&T and everything is functional.

After hours and hours I finally got it to work. I thought I would chime in with what worked for me. I read through endless posts and tried many other peoples suggestions but many failed. This may or may not work for you.

I have a GT Ultra Express Card, Unlocked from NewEgg, AT&T Sim with FamilyPlan Data, OSX10.6.2.

I tried using the GlobeTrotter Software from http://support.option.com/att/ This DID NOT WORK FOR ME.

I used the GT software from http://www.option.com/en/support/software-download/, I used my serial as my IMEI didnt work. I installed with the card out, after install I inserted the card and started the GT software. It worked.

I dont know why, personally. I swear I did these steps before. The only thing different was the software package from the option download section.

Excuse my poor organization of thought, its been about 4 hours of trying. BUT, I have the airport off and am typing this message on 3G!
