After the Snow Leopard upgrade I opened Logic Pro 8 and it started scanning my audio units. When scanning the AU plugins it crashed once and then it said that some of the plugins were not compatible. I restarted and launched Logic again and everything was working fine. Should I trust this upgrade or should I keep Mac OS 10.5 for more stability? I'm working on 2 important projects right now and I don't want to loose data or have sudden crashes. Thanks

The man makes ONE post and solves my problem. Dude someone give him 300 stars or something. Your trick solved my problem, I got them to pass AUVal one by one and it was clean and works great. Who knows what Focusrite is doing, but this works so I don't care.
Beauty now every plug and every piece of hardware works perfectly under Logic 9 and Snow Leopard (probably Logic 8 too but I don't use it anymore 🙂 )
Snow Leopard and Powercore PCI are not playing nice at all - horrible crash and hang and the only fix at the moment requires you to have 2 gig of ram or less; which is ironic. UAD 2 seems to work well though.
Guys - been experiencing same problems with liquid mix and getting similar 'be patient' answer from Focusrite. However, came home tonight and had Snow Leopard 10.6.1 update waiting for me when I logged in. Despite the release notes making no reference to Logic, it seems to have fixed the AU validation issue with LiquidMix - no need to try it manually, just logged in to Logic and it validated Mono and Stereo straight off. Give it a try.
PS - Also had to re-authorise most of my IK Multimedia plug-ins. Anyone who is worrying about cheaply losing an authorisation code need not. IK have confirmed they will give a free authorisation to anyone having to re-authorise as a result of upgrading to Snow Leopard. Happy times!
