Safari doesn't show Google Images

When I search for something on Google Images, the page loads with no problem, except for the images, they stay blank. But when I click on them, they open with no problem.
Same thing happens with Altavista.com, page loads just like it should, but images stay blank.
It's not the first time I have this, had the same problems under Leopard too. Already tried deleting cash, cookies and history.
Sometimes it's fixed for a while, but it always comes back.
I would really appreciate it if somebody would have a solution for this.

Hi all, found this fix on the internet and it worked for me...I only changed the first one 'network.http.pipelining' set to true and it fixed the problem. [Edit: forgot to mention that about:config would not bring up anything in safari so I had to use firefox to make the change]

"This is usually a sign of a crappy router, sometimes triggered by BitTorrent(but not required). Try looking for firmware updates. You can use Firefox with some special settings to see if the problem disappears:

Browse to about:config

network.http.pipelining set to true
network.http.max-connections set to 8
network.http.max-connections-per-server set to 3"

Hi everyone. i'm glad that i'm not the only one who has this problem for over 6 months! and believe me, I'm Thai. And i've try search for solution in Thai with no one can gave me at all (and i saw no one have a problem with this, too). But i notice that When i use IE or Google Chrome on Windows XP (on the same mac, w/ bootcamp); It's no problem. I can find images from google images or yahoo image as normal.

Finally i've found this topic and....Thanks to hanzzvizz . It work! I use 3Com router. Try log into router setting and go to Firewall section. select Medium instead of High (defalut check). Then images are now shown! Thanks a bunch you guys! You're my savior!!

I have the same problem. Happened since Snow leopard install. I thought I'd fixed it by connecting directly to the router, Not to the Airport express that was linked to it. But the problem returned after about 3 minutes... while I was typing my amazing revelation.

Tried the Firefox tip. Still no joy. not prepared to turn off the firewall, when windows machines in the house don't have the same problem.

Many thanks to my web designer Jewlion for this solution. I tried the setting Router Firewall to Medium and that works BUT I wasn't happy about that (Windows computers + kids + reduced security = asking for it!)

Anyway, go to FIREWALL settings in Router and

Change the Firewall settings under '*DoS Detect Criteria*' thus:
'*Maximum incomplete TCP/UDP sessions number from same host*' changed from 10 to 50.

Hey presto! welcome back google images and maps! Just got to get apps working on daughters iPod Touch and I'm in a happy place!

Cheers Julian
