My wife is a teacher who uses a program called EdLine. In this program, she tracks her students' attendance, and grades. Since installing Snow Leopard, she is not able to open EdLine due to a constant EDPUTHTTPERROR message. She is not able to utilize this program on her MacBook Pro or my iMac unless we reinstall leopard as our OS. Unsatisfied with Snow Leopard in the few hours its been running.
I totally agree with you. This is not acceptable after 3 months of waiting. This should've been taken care of BEFORE Snow Leopard came out. They simply found it easier to blame Apple. Snow Leopard was not a big secret. Anyway, I had tons of fun (sarcasm here) reviewing report cards today and helping teachers correct issues having to borrow a Windows laptop or use parallels (slow).
Please Edline!!! The roar of the crickets is deafening! Christmas shopping has started and there's NO sign of an updated plug-in! Please let us know via email that Edline is waiting until June, or until the release of MacOS 10.9, whichever comes first. Dear Santa, the only gift I want for Christmas is...
It is now DECEMBER. Snow Leopard was released in August. Our teachers are fed up with this program. The ones who received new laptops at the beginning of the year have to queue up after school to use a student lab to enter grades. This is not acceptable.
I'm getting this error on my Mac when trying to view my teacher gradebooks. I used to be able to view them here at home. Has something been updated recently on Edline/GQ?
Error
Unfortunately viewing gradebooks as a superviewer is not yet implemented for your operating system. We are working to provide this feature in the near future.
There are a lot of features that are implemented on the Windoze version of grade Quick but not on the mac.
Christmas is coming, three months have gone by and still no fix from GradeQuick. They are unresponsive to our queries, arrogant when you call them for support and continue to blame Apple for all of their problems.
I sometimes feel sorry for the Edline/Rediker parts of this program suite as they work pretty well.
Good News! The Update has arrived!! The Gradequick update for Snow Leopard is here! And it works wonderfully. You must log in from the website edline.net, then get the web plugin, and you are up and running. Yahoo!
You inquired earlier this year about an update of GradeQuick Web for Mac that would work with OS 10.6. The plugin is now available from the link below.
There are instructions on this download page. Most important is that you must be using 10.6.2 and Rosetta.
This update will be soon released more widely with the usual automatic update. This email is sent to give you a chance to get the update before the general release.

Our school does not use the web-based version of GradeQuick, but I need to know if anyone is having problems using or saving data in the network-based or single user version of GradeQuick in Snow Leopard. I have hesitated to install Snow Leopard because I don't want to compromise my ability to use GradeQuick in the middle of the school year.
This is the most evil sinful thing ever. This company is taking money from PUBLIC SCHOOLS and then creating a product that doesn't even work. Can we do a letter writing campaign or anything?
