Motion Files Wont Open!

Can anyone help? I have just updated to Snow Leopard and FCS 3 and have encountered a problem. I can run Motion 4, create files and export, but when I want to open a saved file it says "the document could not be opened" and all I can click is "ok". None of my motion files open, not the old ones and not the files created by Motion 4 itself. I can't open the documents by clicking on the icons, and I can't open the documents by selecting 'open' from 'file' in Motion when the program is running. Have tried deleting both the motion and proapp plist files, that didn't solve anything. I have upgraded from Tiger to Snow Leopard and from FCS 1 to FCS 3...

I have been having the same problem, I noticed in my preferences folder there was a plist for motion that appears to be corrupt, I tried to remove it but could not, even from the terminal. There must be some way to get rid of it, I am thinking something happened during the upgrade from Studio 1 to Studio 3. Still trying to figure out how to get rid of that file. If you login under a userid that did not have final cut installed that may be a work around.

I just upgraded to FCS3 and i'm having the same problem. I'm hoping Apple will fix this in a software update soon. I have found somewhat of a solution however:

1. Open a new project with the same settings you had before.
2. In the file browser, find your saved project and drag it onto the canvas.
Everything should be there just the way it was in your saved project. You will just have to save it as a new project when you are done and repeat this every time you want to work on it.
