Images distort while editing

Seems like I can't really edit any images with iphoto's built in image editing feature. Trying to rotate, remove red eye etc always distorts the image to this:

Has anyone bumped into something similar?

Macbook Pro / iMac C2D, Mac OS X (10.6)

Have you tried applying yesterday's system update: Mac OS X v10.6.2 Update (Combo)? That may do the trick.

Is this on all your machines are just one? That looks like a Hardware issue to me.

I'm experiencing the exact same issue - since I upgraded to Snow Leopard three days ago.

I've seen reports of issues on iPhoto in full screen editing only. Does this occur in full screen editing or windowed editing too?

Try the easy fix first: delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder. Launch iPhoto and try again.

Same issue here when in full screen editing mode.

Glad I found this thread as I did think it was a hardware problem... doesn't seem to now.

I upgraded from 10.5.8
iPhoto and all other Apple software were all ready up to date.

Updated to 10.6.1 but it seems there is no change. Problem still persists.

Same issue here on my iMac. I upgraded to Snow Leopard with iPhoto already installed and updated. I was hoping 10.6.1 would fix the issue, but it looks like it does not.

problem for me was corrected with the 10.6.1 update released today. I did nothing prior in trying to correct problem, just the update. Works great

I am experiencing the exact same problems.

Notified Apple three or four times about this bug.

Guess we will have to wait on a fix from Apple.

I have exactly the same problem since I installed Snow Leopard. It's the same with previous versions of iPhoto (8.04). I think that the bug is in Snow Leopard. Hope it will be repaired soon.

I am also having this editing issue while in expanded mode. I get green or red image with diagonal line. This started after downloading upgrade to snow leopard. I haven't seen fix yet.
