Numbers do not accept negative values after upgrading to Snow Leopard

I have iWork 9 installed in Leopard, and after upgrading to Snow Leopard, Numbers don't accept negative values, e.g. -141. They are defined as text and are aligned left in the cell, even if the cell is defined for numbers. Positive values are defined as numbers and aligned right.

All my statistics are wrong now. I don't where to find a sollution. Need to fix this asap.

Numbers fails to recognise negative values when importing .csv file data. I see there has been some discussion around this topic but I am on 10.6.2 with fully updated numbers and still no joy.
Do I have to set to USA settings to make it work? is this just in numbers or for my whole computer set-up?
Can anyone suggest a different type of output from my Sage accounting software which may do the trick?

On my machine running 10.6.2 and Numbers '09 v2.0.3
negative values in CSV files are flawlessly treated.

I guess that something is wrong in your system.

May you try to open the docs from an other user account ?
