LX3+RAW+APERTURE=NO SUPPORT!

There must be a reason for this, the camera has been out for over a year and still no RAW support for the LX3!

Is it laziness? Conspiracy? Bad blood? Somebody somewhere knows why.

Anyone?

Good point, Charles...

Although given the market-leading popularity of the LX3 and D-LUX 4, and the tremendous number of requests Apple has seen for this support, I would bet they would do this one when the problem with lens correction is solved. I know I would be a happy camper, I am up to almost 30K shots with my D-LUX4, dutifully storing RAW and jpeg in Aperture awaiting a brighter day.

I do want to point out a number of converters support these cameras without the optical correction...I think Aperture team wanted to be able to do it correctly or not at all.

On a brighter note, I think the Aperture team set a record on RAW support turnaround for the new Nikon D3s. Thanks for that guys!

Great line Charles!!!

All singing here as 33,456 Leica D-LUX 4 .RWL files now magically appear in my library. I shot RAW + jpeg since I bought the camera, and now I got it all...I am in for a bit of culling here, but I am very happy.

Plus, I think they did a **** good job because they look VERY close to the Leica jpgs (which are great) AND unlike some lesser RAW converters, the lens correction is applied beautifully. It was worth the wait.

PLUS, I now have a good place to put my HD movies from the camera as well.

THANKS APERTURE TEAM!
