Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes.

When I double-click on the AppleApplicationSupport.msi file, the option to "Repair" does not show up. It goes straight to the install wizard but when I try to install it, I get an error at the "Publishing Product Information" part of the installation. Idk what to do

I decided to clean some of my excessive programs and I uninsulated the Apple Application Support. Didn't mean to. Error 2 comes up, unable to download a serial# it asks for . I don't have one. Cant download Quick or itunes material of course. E-mailed Apple no adequate response so far.I viewed all the replies on this thread not sure what to do. Any suggestions on how to reinstall the application? Please help. Thank you.

Running Window 7. downloaded iTunes 9. it wouldnt get rid of old log on info, so i deleted the registry keys. Make a long story short i jacked it all up. gave me the "Apple Application Support was not found" Cr4 has the solution!!!

i clicked repair on everyone of the files

Thank you so much. Since I setup a new computer with Windows 7 two weeks ago iTunes didn't detect my iPhone. Uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes got to the point iTunes wouldn't even launch. Your solution fixed my iTunes and now it detects my iPhone. I'm back in business. Thanks for sharing!

If it tells you to uninstall itunes and then reinstall it would i lose all of the songs i have on my itunes?

I can't seem to open up my Itunes so I can back up my library. I keep getting the window that says I need this 'apple application support' so I can't even open my Itunes to backup my library without this stupid window popping up, so is there a way around this, I really don't want to loose my library.........Mike

thanks alot for the advise...i tried for 3 weeks before i got this apple mess sorted out with Itunes.although i had to download each file one at a time starting with 'apple application support msi' before it worked.
