iPhone 3G, upgrade to 3.1 now no visual voicemail

I upgraded my 3G to 3.1 yesterday. Now my visual voice mail is no longer working. Not only that but when you go to Setting-General-Network-Cellular Data Network, the VVM section has disappeared.

I've tried resetting Network Settings a few times but that doesn't help. I did a restore to backup as well and that hasn't helped. Since I upgraded to 3.1 I'm now running AT&T carrier 5.0.

Any help would be much appreciated. I'm afraid to bring iPhone

Thanks, Rockstars, that solution worked. I also have no ``Profiles'' option, but restoring the carrier settings to the pre-tethering ipcc file did the trick.

Or to an issue in the iPhone OS, or due to a hardware problem, or due to any one of a number of other possibilities.

I agree that it is likely due to the issues you describe, and more specifically appears to be related to an alleged tethering issue. However, I would not be so quick as to jump to the conclusion that all related problems are due to the exact same root cause.

TO FIX THIS PROBLEM:

SETTINGS > GENERAL > PROFILE

Delete the BENM.at profile and it will work instantly.

It seems that not only did they kill tethering capabilities with the 3.0.1, but they also cause voicemail to not work for anyone who had the app :/

Keveon's solution worked after all the others didn't for me!
I tried restoring, resetting carrier, refusing updates, accepting updates, etc, but only this did the trick:
Go to Settings > General > Profile > then remove the BENM.at
My voicemails bonged in almost instantly!

I have been so frustrated at not getting voicemails (after seeing missed calls and speaking to that person later - saying they left a voicemail...)

Keveon ROCKS - I used his "fix," called my phone, and his solution made my new visual voicemail ping almost instantly!

I was a little scared to delete the profile because it said that it was AT&T's profile but I finally decided to just try it. It worked perfectly. Excellent fix. Thanks.
