General consensus on 3.1 upgrade

I upgraded and have had nothing but constant issues. Only the orignal Apps worked and would open so I had to do a full restore. Overall I like the upgrade minus the fixable issue I had.

Are you saying that you eventually got all your apps to function on 3.1.1? For s** and giggles, and because I'm bored, I'm installing 3.1.1 now. I've got 2 copies of the 2.2 ipsw file on my pc that I can revert to if necessary. I'll make a new thread with the results...

I just did the 3.1.1 upgrade. 30 minutes to back up ipod, 8 minutes to upgrade. all seems well at this point. I've got about 10 apps that show up in the app store that need upgrading, and I'll do that momentarily. hopefully everything will keep on working.

As far as WIFI goes, the signal strength indicator is more responsive, and my range on both my home router and MiFi unit are unaffected--the only difference from 2.2 is that the bars drop as I move away from the hotspot, but like I said the range is fine. I can go at least 80 feet away and still get a use able signal.

FYI, I installed 3.1.1 on two 2nd gen Touchs yesterday and it all went without a hitch. I first made sure I had a couple of copies of the ipsw file for the 2.2 update, in case it all went to HIAHB 🙂

I have a problem, my Recently added and Recently Played playlists wont sync to my ipod, i have tried restore, restart and everything. and if it does sync its all mixed up so i cant play them in order. It's like its constantly on 'Shuffle'

Please help.

I Updated my 2nd gen iPod touch as soon as the update came out and it all went well for me. Maybe it's just me but the device seems a little more snappier han it was in 2.2 and even 3.0. The transiting from portrate to landscape in Safari is where I can see it the most. Does anyone else notice a difference?
